Powers: Originally Dani had the telepathic ability to conjure illusions of a person’s worst fear or greatest desire. She could also communicate telepathically with certain animals including her shape shifting teammate Wolfsbane.

Later she gained the ability to make her illusions solid and still later she gained the power form and shoot arrows made of psychic energy to stun opponents.

What’s her deal? One of the original New Mutants the third class of students at Xavier’s school Daniel was both a leader and a loner on the team. Often the voice of reason between the headstrong Sunspot and Naïve Cannonball Dani grew and changed as the years went by both on and off the team. Eventually becoming a Valkyrie and having her powers erased by the Scarlet Witches spell Moonstar would Join the all female Defenders and start a whole new heroic career independent of the X-Men.
